Wild Turkey Rare Breed is the ultimate expression of Wild Turkey's essence, crafted by Jimmy Russell. It is a premium bourbon produced by the renowned American distillery located in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. This Barrel Proof bourbon is made from a careful selection of corn, rye, malted barley, selected yeasts, and water filtered from the Kentucky River. The composition of this bourbon includes 75% corn, 13% rye, and the remaining 12% malted barley. Once the grains are cooked in water, yeast is added to create the yeast mash. This is followed by a double distillation in a pot still. At the end of this process, the bourbon is poured into white American oak barrels where it rests according to the master distiller's requirements: for Rare Breed, a blend of 6, 8, and 12-year-old bourbons has been specially created.

Tasting notes:

This bourbon presents itself with a golden color and burnished reflections. On the nose, there are clear notes of candied orange, dates, and dried plums, followed by the spice of cinnamon. In the mouth, it is complex, with various aromas perceptible, from cherry jam to honey, from marzipan to more spicy hints of black pepper and wood, with a very long and soft finish. This bourbon is perfect to serve neat and to enjoy on its own to better appreciate its characteristic hints and aromas.
