Salento Tormaresca Calafuria by Marchesi Antinori is produced on the eponymous estate, owned by the Antinori family and located in Puglia, in the Salento area. It is made exclusively from Negroamaro grapes, hand-selected, gently destemmed, and softly pressed. The resulting must is placed in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 10°C for natural decantation. Subsequently, alcoholic fermentation takes place at low temperatures, around 16°C, to preserve the primary aromas of the grape variety. The wine is then briefly aged in stainless steel and for 4 months in the bottle before being released for sale.

Tasting notes: 

It is a wine with a seductive bright pink color, with coral reflections. The nose opens with delicate aromas of red fruits and raspberry. On the palate, it is fresh and savory, with a perfect balance between softness and acidity.

Food pairings: 

This wine is excellent with delicate pasta dishes based on fish or vegetables. Also ideal with white meats or fish courses.
