Vorberg is a wine that comes to life from the most suitable vineyards of Alto Adige, thanks to a manual harvest with a rigorous selection of grapes. Once in the cellar, the grapes undergo a delicate whole-bunch pressing and a natural sedimentation for clarification. Fermentation takes place at a slow and controlled temperature in large oak barrels. After that, malolactic fermentation occurs, followed by 12 months of ageing on fine lees in traditional wooden barrels.
A dazzling straw yellow color shines in the glass, while the nose anticipates a varied, multifaceted bouquet with fruity notes of yellow-fleshed fruits such as melon and peach, accompanied by very pleasant aromas of quince jelly and dried fruit. On the palate, it expresses its best, with fruity notes that vigorously re-emerge, creamy and fleshy, with a distinctly mineral aftertaste.
It is the most suitable wine to nobly accompany a spicy fish soup, as well as a mussel pepper stew, au gratin mussels, or spaghetti allo scoglio. Definitely worth trying with Roman-style artichokes, which are usually not easy to pair.
