The Nebbiolo "Bricco Barone" comes from vines that are, on average, almost 40 years old, with a yield of about 80 quintals per hectare. In the cellar, destemming and crushing are carried out, followed by spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in steel tanks at controlled temperature. Aging takes place for about 12 months in large 35 hectoliter oak barrels, as tradition dictates. Subsequently, blending in steel, filtration, and, after bottling, the wine rests in the cellar for a few months before being released to the market.

Marziano Abbona's Nebbiolo d'Alba "Bricco Barone" is a full-bodied, intense, and long-lived Piedmontese red wine: a faithful and representative expression of the cru of the same name in Monforte. It is characterized by a deep and constantly evolving aromatic profile, from which notes of black fruit, damp earth, undergrowth, red fruits, ripe cherries, and balsamic herbs emerge, with light smoky nuances. The sip reveals power and structure, as well as energetic and impetuous freshness and a dense tannic texture that suggest good aging potential in the coming years.

Ideal with aged cheeses and stewed meat
