The wine Vertigo is produced in the vineyards of the renowned Livio Felluga winery, a Friulian excellence located in the province of Gorizia.
It is made from a skilfully crafted blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested during the first ten days of October. After destemming and pressing, the must is left to ferment with skin maceration in stainless steel tanks, at controlled temperature. Subsequently, the wine matures for 12 months in steel and in small oak barrels, where it stabilizes all its organoleptic characteristics. This is followed by ageing in glass.
Livio Felluga's Vertigo has an almost impenetrable purplish-red color. The nose opens with an intriguing aroma of plum, fig, persimmon, and blackberry, accompanied by spicy sensations of nutmeg and tobacco leaves. On the palate, it is powerful and elegant, with fruity aromas of pomegranate and Granny Smith apple that fade towards a more bitter, nutty finish.
Perfect with savory first courses, red meats, roasts, and medium-aged cheeses.
