Livio Felluga's Friuli Colli Orientali Ribolla Gialla originates from vineyards located in Rosazzo, Friuli Venezia Giulia.
It is produced exclusively with Ribolla Gialla grapes, harvested by hand during the first and second ten days of September. After delicate destemming, the grapes are briefly macerated, then softly pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Subsequently, the wine ages for 6 months on its lees in the same containers, and for another 2 months in glass before being released onto the market.
This Ribolla Gialla has a straw yellow color with slight green reflections. The bouquet is fresh and very intense, with hints of peach blossom, plum, orange, and lily of the valley, accompanied by fruity notes of pear and green apple. On the palate, it is fresh, lively, fluid, and pleasantly acidic, with an aftertaste with a balsamic nuance enriched by notes of pear and Reinette apple.
Excellent as an aperitif, this wine is ideal paired with battered vegetables, vegetable flans, and flavorful cheeses. Also perfect with fish dishes.
