The Rosso di Montepulciano “Sabazio” from the La Braccesca winery of the Antinori family is a Tuscan wine made with a significant Sangiovese base, to which a small percentage of Merlot is added to make it softer, rounder, and fruitier. It is a medium-bodied red, vinified exclusively in steel, which matures for a few months before being released onto the market. The profile maintains the typical varietal character, characterized by fragrant fruity aromas and immediate expressive freshness, making it particularly pleasant to drink. It is a young red and very versatile in food pairings.
Sabazio is a pleasantly fresh and simple red, suitable for consumption throughout the year, so that its youthful fruity fragrance can be best appreciated. In the glass, it shows a rather intense ruby red color. The nose opens with floral notes of violet rose, fruity aromas of ripe cherry, plum, and small red berries. On the palate, it is smooth, with a juicy and crisp mid-palate and a fresh finish, with good lingering flavor.
