RONCAGLIA is a small village along the coast at the gates of Pesaro. The surrounding hills, on the edge of the Monte San Bartolo Natural Park, have always been considered the most suitable areas for the cultivation of Albanella, an indigenous grape variety traditionally used for the city's white wine.
Since the early seventies, with Albanella grapes and a small addition of Pinot Noir vinified as white wine, Fattoria Mancini has produced a wine called Roncaglia. In 1994, after more than twenty years of production, this wine was awarded the D.O.C. Colli Pesaresi Roncaglia Bianco.
To preserve the very personal characteristics of Albanella, Roncaglia is vinified in steel. The result is a wine with good structure and great longevity, with aromas and flavors of remarkable freshness, with citrus notes and typical aspects of minerality and savoriness accentuated by the proximity to the sea.
