Pinot Noir was introduced to the FOCARA hills around 1810, during the Napoleonic Empire. The cold climate and the calcareous sandstone soil of this cliff overlooking the Adriatic Sea were considered by the French administration to be ideal conditions for cultivating this fine variety. The Mancinis have preserved and selected the original clones for five generations of winemakers, thus specializing in the production of fine Pinot Noir wines. The Pinot Noir from the younger vines is vinified and bottled separately under the label "JNOIR".

Tasting Notes:

Brilliant ruby red color. The nose expresses fine aromas of small red fruits such as cherry, raspberry, and currant, enriched by subtle spicy nuances and delicate woody notes. On the palate, it is balanced, soft, and harmonious, with elegant tannins and a pleasant freshness that accompanies a persistent finish with fruity hints.

Ideal with savory first courses, roasted or grilled white meats, delicate red meats, mushrooms, and medium-aged cheeses.
