The "Blu" wine is produced from the native red grape variety Ancellotta. The old vines are located on the Montebacchino hill, north of Pesaro. Ancellotta is traditionally used to add color to other grapes, but Mancini wanted to bet on the personality of this grape variety by vinifying it alone. After a 7-day pre-fermentation cold maceration, fermentation takes place in tanks for about 12 days, with frequent pump-overs. Malolactic fermentation takes place in 228-liter Allier barriques. The wine ages for 4 months in barriques, half new and half second-passage. It is bottled unfiltered and ages for another 18 months in the bottle before being released.

Tasting notes:

Dark and deep red color. The nose expresses an intense bouquet with vinous and red fruit aromas. The taste is full, warm, with good tannicity and moderate acidity.
