Cihuatan is the city of the Maya-Pipil people in El Salvador's Acelhuate river valley. The name means 'near the woman' to commemorate the particular shape of Mount Guazapa. Cihuatan rum is the first to be produced from sugarcane grown in El Salvador, with complete supply chain control. Aged with a solera system in American ex-bourbon oak barrels for a perfect balance between the wood and the sweetness of the rum. Cihuatán Xaman is an ultra-premium rum named after Xaman, the Mayan god of the North Star and protector of the Cihuatán valley.

This elegant composition features extra-old rums aged in ex-Bourbon American oak barrels and then finished in Mayan Ceiba barrels. The distillery's Master Blender specifically selected the unique wood of the Mayan Ceiba tree for its rich character and seductive profile.
