La Firma from Cantine del Notaio encapsulates the most typical essence of the Aglianico del Vulture grape, in all its austerity and grandeur. It is obtained from the manual harvesting of grapes in the first ten days of November, when the bunches are fully ripe. A maceration of 20 days allows for the extraction of color and aromas, as well as an evolved tannin, characteristics that offer their best form after 12 months of maturation in French oak tonneaux and a further 12 months of aging in bottle.

Tasting notes:

The color is ruby red with purplish reflections, concentrated and impenetrable. The nose is broad and complex, with aromas of black berry fruits in jam and licorice resting on a bed of fenugreek, carob and spices. In the mouth it is powerful and harmonious, with well-smoothed tannins and a long, balsamic finish.

Aging:

Perfect with game and braised meats, it excellently accompanies a platter of aged cheeses.
