The red wine Ronchedone from Cà dei Frati is born in vineyards located in the southern area of Lake Garda, on the hills of Desenzano.
It is produced with Marzemino, Sangiovese grapes and a small percentage of Cabernet, macerated in steel with prolonged contact. After malolactic fermentation in barrique, the wine ages in barrique for about 14 months, then rests in the bottle for another 10 months before being released on the market.
It has an intense red color. The bouquet is rich and decisive, with notes of red fruits, macerated blueberries and sour cherries in spirits, enriched by pleasant balsamic hints and jam aromas. On the palate, it is incisive and powerful, with good savoriness and balanced acidity.
Perfect to accompany red meats prepared with medium or long cooking times, it is ideal with game, aged cheeses, pasta dishes, and rich-flavored soups.
