The Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Riserva DOC Villa Bucci originates from a selection of Verdicchio from "old vines" (40 to 50 years old) owned by the winery.
An important white wine, which ages for one to one and a half years in 50 and 75 hl Slavonian oak barrels and rests for at least one year in the bottle before release, developing secondary and tertiary aromas.
Tasting notes:
Its bright straw yellow color anticipates a complex aroma, in an opulent wine that offers hints of hazelnut, honey, spices, flint, but also aromatic and medicinal herbs, and has a full, harmonious, and persistent taste. Ideal for those who love white wines with a certain structure, this Verdicchio should almost be considered a "red" due to both its serving temperature, which should be just cool and not chilled, and its serving technique, which suggests opening the bottle possibly an hour beforehand to allow this great Verdicchio to breathe and appreciate its nuances.
Pairings:
Ideal with aged cheeses, shellfish, fish, and grilled white meats
