The Kyoto Miyako Distillery is the first distillery opened in Kyoto prefecture, 50 km north-west of the city, in an unspoiled and sparsely populated area, but above all, crossed by the Yura River, known for the purity of its particularly fish-rich waters. The proximity to such a precious water source proves vital in all stages of whisky preparation. The two Pot Still stills are used differently from the classic Scottish style, where the stills divide the tasks of first and second distillation. Here, they have a completely different characteristic, an ascending shape that prevents impurities and heavy oils from passing into condensation, resulting in cleaner, more floral, and delicate spirits.

A true Bourbon-style whisky (meaning with a corn percentage of no less than 51%) combined with the fine malts created by the Kyoto Miyako Distillery. The result is aged in virgin American Oak Barrels.

This type of barrel gives the spirit notes of exotic fruits such as pineapple, ripe banana, and coconut. On the palate, these characteristics, perfectly balanced by malty notes, create a complex, structured blended whisky with an extremely long and pleasant mouthfeel. Satisfying neat, in a classic dram, with nothing added.
