Tenuta San Guido's Toscana Rosso Guidalberto is born in vineyards located in the splendid setting of the Tuscan Maremma.
It is produced with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, harvested from early September until mid-October. The grapes are fermented in steel vats at a controlled temperature of 30-31°C and undergo a maceration process that lasts for 15 days for both grape varieties. The wine is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, and minimally in American oak, then rests in the bottle for an additional 3 months.
It is a wine with a brilliant ruby red color. The nose opens with pleasant hints of berries, enriched by notes of coffee and nuances of Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is full and powerful, with lively tannins and a long, persistent finish.
Perfect to accompany red meats, it is ideal in combination with pasta dishes with meat sauce, game, and aged cheeses.
