Naga is a brand of Indonesian Rum, representing the historical memory and origins of Rum. This famous spirit, in fact, was already produced in Indonesia before sugarcane was planted by Spanish colonizers in the Caribbean islands. In these lands, the raw material had always been present, and in the sugar cane plantations, molasses was fermented to then proceed with the distillation of the juice and the production of a Rum, known as Batavia Arrack. Towards the end of the 15th century, Dutch and Portuguese trading fleets, which traded with the Island of Java, discovered the recipe for Indonesian Rum, also known as Jakarta's strong liquor.

Indonesian Rum differs from other production due to the use, during the fermentation process, of sugarcane molasses and fermented red rice yeast, called Qu ou Chu. The juice obtained from fermentation was distilled in traditional stills and then aged in terracotta jars. It was only towards the middle of the 17th century that teak barrels of about 560 liters began to be used. Thanks to wood aging, the Rum acquired greater complexity and expressive richness, with interesting aromatic nuances. Caribbean Rums and Rums from other parts of the world owe much to Indonesian tradition.

In the production of Naga Siam 10 Years Old Rum, the cultivated sugarcane is transformed into molasses. Distillation takes place 5 times. The rum is aged in ex-bourbon oak barrels. The aging room is underground so that the temperature can be kept constant. After 10 years of aging, the rum is bottled.

Amber in color, it offers spicy, sweet notes of brown sugar and wood on the nose. In the mouth, it is spicy with hints of candied fruit, notes of vanilla, oak, and tobacco. The finish is long and lingering.
