The Cuvée Brut Réserve Champagne is produced by Maison Morel, located in Les Riceys, in the Côte des Bar. The winery, run by the same family for 5 generations, produces about 50,000 bottles a year from 7.5 hectares: altitude between 160 and 320 meters, with an average vine age of over 25 years.
Les Riceys is the most famous municipality in Champagne for the production of rosé wines considered among the best in the world, so much so that highly prestigious Maisons (including de Venoge) buy grapes in the area to produce their cuvées. Les Riceys is also the only municipality in Champagne where 3 different AOCs can be produced: Champagne AOC, Coteaux Champenois AOC and the famous Rosé des Riceys AOC, a still rosé wine.
The Cuvée Brut Réserve is made exclusively from Pinot Noir. After vinification, the wine is sparkling according to the Champenoise method, with 4 years of ageing on its lees, and offers a perfect combination of aromaticity and structure, with great finesse.
Tasting Notes: Straw yellow in color with a fine and persistent perlage. The nose reveals dried fruit, white peaches, and fresh butter, while the palate is characterized by an enchanting freshness, balanced and with a soft yet mineral finish.
Pairings: Exquisite as an aperitif, its structure makes it suitable to be enjoyed throughout the meal.
