The must is distilled at 94% alc. vol., in a continuous still from South Africa.\u003cbr\u003eMauricia is therefore, to use a fashionable term, a Single Estate rum, in all respects belonging to the category of agricultural rums.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMauricia Rum Signature Ambrè\u003c\/strong\u003e is produced from pure fresh sugarcane juice, fermented for about 30 hours with selected yeasts. The fermented liquid is then continuously distilled, using a small column of South African origin. After distillation, the rum is aged for up to 24 months in Cognac and American white oak barrels, both new and ex-bourbon.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMauricia Rum Signature Ambrè is a gold-coloured rum. On the nose, it is slightly herbaceous and floral, with notes of citrus peel accompanying softer notes of honey and vanilla. It is fresh and slightly woody, with subtle roasted notes.
