An excellent classic method sparkling wine from the prestigious Frescobaldi winery.

Leonia Brut 2016 shows an elegantly fine perlage, and the numerous bubbles that line the rim of the glass amplify the wine's golden reflections.

On the nose, this Metodo Classico offers mineral notes and hints of white spring flowers such as hawthorn; followed by hints of acacia honey, pastry, and white-fleshed fruit like September peach; finally, there are more evolved aromas reminiscent of dried fruit. The entry on the palate is crisp and clean, the effervescence tickles all the taste buds without overpowering them, instead promoting the perception of a decided creaminess. The finish is long, recalling the smoothness of caramel and the aromaticity of licorice combined with some toasted notes.
